FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about editing, privacy and billing.

Can I edit existing PDF text?

For digitally generated PDFs, the editor detects text regions and lets you replace or delete selected text. PDFs can encode text in unusual ways, so complex files may require manual positioning or OCR.

Can I edit scanned PDFs?

Yes. Browser-side OCR can recognize English, Hindi or mixed text and create selectable word regions for editing. Always review OCR output, especially names and numbers.

Do I have to sign in before I edit?

No. You can start editing immediately. Sign-in is required before download so the free allowance and purchases can be tied to an account.

What is free?

The current configuration allows the first 3 pages of a PDF and 3 free downloads per day. Tool-specific limits are shown before processing.

How does one-time access work?

1 Day Access provides 1 day of access from confirmed successful payment. It is a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription, and expires at the exact activation-based timestamp.

What does Pro include?

Pro unlocks all pages, removes the daily download limit and disables ads for the signed-in account while the entitlement is active.

Are my PDFs uploaded?

Core editing, OCR and many PDF utilities are browser-first. Server-only tools such as Office conversion and password protection/unlock require temporary upload and are clearly labelled.

How does secure redaction work?

The redaction workflow flattens affected pages after applying the redaction so covered page content is not left simply hidden beneath a black overlay.

Can I cancel Pro?

The billing integration supports cancelling renewal at the end of the current billing cycle while retaining access through the paid period.

Can I unlock a PDF if I do not know the password?

No. The unlock tool is only for documents you are authorized to access and for which you know the required password.
